Ladies and Gentlemen, dear members of the IIHA

The executive board kindly invites you to the 17th Annual Conference of the IIHA, “German Intelligence History from Bismarck to the Present” to be held 17 to 19 June 2011 in Marburg, Germany. This year’s conference has been jointly organised with the Militärgeschichtliches Forschungsamt (MGFA) Potsdam. The preliminary conference program can be found here on our website under 'Conferences'.

 

Within the frame of the conference, on Saturday, 18 June 2011 at 20:00h, we will be holding our annual membership meeting. The board proposes the following agenda:

 

Item 1: Opening of the meeting, recognition of the quorum

Item 2: Approval of the agenda

Item 3: Reports on the conduct of business and the budget of 2010, budget proposal for 2011

Item 4: Reports of the auditor

Item 5: Motions to approve the conduct of business and the correctness of the budget

Item 6: Proposal to amend the association’s bylaws: Increasing the number of executive board members from five to seven

Item 7: Discussion of the amendment proposal

Item 8: Motion to approve the amendment of the association’s bylaws to increase the number of executive board members from five to seven

Item 9: Election of the new board and the auditor for the 2011 budget

Item 10: Reports on publications and the website of the association

Item 11: Conference planning for 2012

Item 12: Miscellaneous business

Item 13: Closing of the membership meeting

 

Additional proposals for the agenda will be accepted by the Executive Director until 06 June 2011.

 

To register for the conference, please download the registration form from our website. The conference fee is EUR 70.00 for members, EUR 50.00 for students (members and non-members), and EUR 100.00 for non-members. This includes evening meals on Friday and Saturday as well as coffee breaks, however it does not include accommodation.

 

As for accommodation, the IIHA has made a number of hotel reservations in different price categories for conference participants. Please find the details on the information sheet you can download from our website as well. Note that the hotel reservations are only valid for a limited time, so please make sure to book your room as soon as possible.
