|
Founded in 1993, the International Intelligence History
Association was established to promote scholarly research on intelligence
organizations and their impact on historical development and international
relations. The Association's international membership -- consisting of historians, political scientists, cryptologists, active and former intelligence officials, and members of the armed forces -- promotes interdisciplinary research and teaching in the field of intelligence history. Annual meetings provide a forum for academic exchange, and The Journal of Intelligence History, published by the IIHA, informs members and the broader public on matters pertaining to scholarly research on intelligence. In addition, the IIHA pulishes a series of books on
Intelligence History. The most recent book is
Cees Wiebes' Intelligence and the War in Bosnia
1992-1995 published by Lit Verlag. Papers presented at IIHA meetings were recently published as Secret Intelligence in the Twentieth Century, Heike Bungert , Jan G. Heitmann, Michael Wala eds., by Frank Cass Publishers.
